The event within the framework of the project “Don’t become a victim of human trafficking” was hold in Baku Business and Cooperation College
The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs permanently carries out awareness raising projects focused on combating trafficking in human beings, raising awareness of population, especially youth, on consequences of human trafficking and ways of prevention.
For the purpose of implementation of National Action Plan of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Struggle Against. Trafficking in Human Beings (2014-2018) and in the framework of the project “ Don’t become a victim of trafficking in human beings” the next event was hold on December 4, 2017 at 11.30 in Baku Business and Cooperation College.
The event was opened by the deputy director of the Baku Business and Cooperation College Zakir Mammadov. He grated all the guests and participants of the event, stressed the importance of such kind of events, and thanked the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs for holding such kind of events.
Afterwards Gulnara Mammadova, the head of Family Problems Department of the Committee informed the participants of the event about the activities had been carried out by the Committee in the direction of awareness-raising work for the youth, also she stressed the importance of this project.
The presentation made by Azer Isali, the advisor of the Family Problems Department of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs expressed the current situation and the methods of the struggle with the human trafficking.
After the film-participant of the “Azerbaijan Family” film festival “Sinners or innocents” was shown to the participants of the event. The film reflects the theme of the human trafficking.
The director of the Center for the Victims of Human Trafficking Nazakat Balabayova informed the participants of the event about the shelters for victims of human trafficking and stressed the importance of the psychological help to the victims of human trafficking and the main issues being implemented for reintegration processes.
The event continued with the discussions on the theme and at the end the awareness-raising materials prepared by the Committee were presented to the library of the College.
