The event entitled " International protection of the rights of Internally Displaced Women and Children" took place at school N 23

Out state marks 25 years since the adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.  Within these years, the Republic of Azerbaijan accepted a number of important measures, relevant activities focused on protection and promotion of the rights of children had been held.

 On October 20, 2017 at high school No. 23  the State Committee For Family, Women and Children Affairs together with the Executive power of Nasimi District of Baku held an event entitled " International protection of the rights of Internally Displaced  Women and Children". 

The event was opened by the deputy head of the Executive Power of  Nasimi District Mrs. Gulara Verdiyeva. She welcomed the participants of the event and gave information about the work done in Nasimi District, focused on prevention of early marriages and underlined the importance of carrying out of such events . 

Then the floor was given to Mrs. Aynur Sofiyeva, Deputy Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs. A. Sofiyeva informed the participants about the systematic and purposeful measures taken in by the state in this field. 

Also the Deputy Chairperson of SCFWCA Aynur Sofiyeva underlined the importance of the work made by our state in the field of protection of children rights.  She noted that IV  National Forum of Azerbaijani Children  will be held in Baku on November 20. Also Mrs.Sofiyeva gave an information about large-scale projects which are carried out by the the first vice-president of the Azerbaijan Republic Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva in the field of children's policy. 

The event has been finished with a concert, in the framework of this concert pupils of high school No. 23 showed their skills and talents.
