August 30 is celebrated worldwide as the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearance as a sign of respect for the missing and consolation of their loved ones.

About 4,000 Azerbaijani citizens are still missing as a result of illegal territorial claims and aggression by Armenia.

For many years, Armenia has not fulfilled its international obligations regarding the fate of the missing and denies its responsibility for the aggression committed.

Azerbaijan continues its efforts to bring to criminal responsibility and punish the perpetrators of these grave crimes in order to ensure the rights and interests of the victims.
