Ensuring gender equality in all spheres of social life and active participation of men and women in public administration and decision-making are among the priorities of state policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Government of Azerbaijan pays special attention to the fulfillment of its international obligations in the field of women's rights. As an indicator of its growing international authority and support for the promotion of women's rights, our country ratified the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1979.

The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs submits periodic reports on the Convention to the CEDAW Committee on behalf of the Government of Azerbaijan.
The sixth periodic report of the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be presented at the 82nd Session of the UN CEDAW Committee on June 16, 2022.
