The study visit of the Azerbaijani delegation to Lithuania continues within the Twinning project

A study visit to the Republic of Lithuania organized within the framework of the EU-funded twinning project "Strengthening the capacity of government agencies and local referral mechanisms to ensure the safety and support of victims of domestic violence in Azerbaijan" implemented by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and relevant organizations of Lithuania and Austria continues.

The next  meeting was held at the Center for the Protection of Children's Rights in Vilnius on the organization of mobile teams to work with families in crisis on the second day of the study visit. Mr. Gedas Batulevicius, Director of the Vilnius City Center for the Protection of Children's Rights informed the participants on the activities of the organization.

Afterward, the delegation got acquainted with the work of the Ujoveya Specialized Center for Assistance to Children Victims of Sexual Violence and Exploitation, and held a meeting at the Office of the Ombudsman for Equal Opportunities.

Mrs. Nadezhda Kudrauskas, Chief Specialist of the Vilnius Region Probation Center provided detailed information on the probation system in Lithuania on the third day of the study visit. Noting that 80 people work at the Center, Ms. Kudrauskas gave detailed information about the activities carried out by the organization.

Later, the Azerbaijani delegation got acquainted with the work of the Vilnius Men's Crisis and Information Center to organize the rehabilitation process for men and their families. Mr. Robertas Mikailas, the director of the center said that not only victims of violence, but also any man in crisis was  provided with services, and about 140 appeals were received during the current year.
