The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs will hold another blood drive to help children suffering from thalassemia and hemophilia.

Every year, thousands of children around the world and in Azerbaijan are born with this diagnosis. Being a congenital blood clotting disorder, this disease is a socio-economic problem not only for those who suffer from it but for the state and society as a whole.

In order to prevent such cases and increase the effectiveness of treatment, the existing legislation in Azerbaijan is being improved, state programs on hereditary blood diseases are being adopted, and medicines are being provided free of charge.

Relevant government agencies, civil society representatives, volunteers, in general, every citizen of our country should contribute to this event and closely participate in supporting our compatriots and their families who are doomed to fight this problem for life.

Therefore, each of you is invited to join the next "Let's donate blood, let's save lives" challenge organized by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs on April 12-13, 2021 at the Central Blood Bank (65 Feyzulla Gasimzadeh Street, Nasimi District, Baku).
