Information on the work carried out and measures taken in response to appeals by citizens to the State Committee on Family, Women and Children's Affairs in 2020

In accordance with the Charter of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Affairs in 2020, a number of measures were taken to deal with citizens' appeals and complaints, as well as to address the issues raised.

During 2020 the Committee received 6,506 addresses of citizens, including 4,627 appeals and 1,876 complaints. 964 appeals were received during the meetings.

During the current year, the Committee has received 691 response letters to citizens' appeals. At the end of each month, the received appeals are analyzed and the relevant information is sent to the leadership of the Committee. The appeals received were timely investigated and forwarded to the appropriate authorities for their resolution.

Totally 3,397 appeals were received by the 11 Сhild and Family Support Centers operating under the Committee in 2020.

With the aim of supporting families during the pandemic 1500 families were visited, 361 people received psychological support, 834 children received online education, 2446 families received food assistance, 1020 families received educational booklets and 1562 people received medical masks made by volunteers of the center.

Temporarily housed families in shelters that had been affected by the war were visited and their medical, social, and legal problems were studied. Families received psychological help and 450 children in shelters received developmental education. 

İn accordance with the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2020, the Deputy Chairpersons of the Committee held regional meetings of citizens in the following districts: Naftalan, Agdash, Sabirabad, Saatli, Hajigabul and considered 964 appeals.
