Members of the Azerbaijan Child Ambassadors Council met with British teacher

On December 22, 2020 an online meeting was held between  the members of the Azerbaijan Child Ambassadors Council and British teacher Mr. Maxwell Southern. Azerbaijan Child Ambassadors Council established with the support of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Affairs.

During the meeting they discussed the psychological health of war-traumatized children, school closures caused by Coronavirus (Covid-19) and their impact on students etc.

As a history teacher Maxwell Southern said he was affected by the shelling of Azerbaijani territories by the Armenian armed forces, especially cities far from the war zone.

He stressed that protecting the rights of children in emergencies and wars should be a priority, and every state should refrain from aggression.

Maxwell then spoke about school closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on students, and shared with children the British experience of organizing education during the pandemic.

The members of the Azerbaijan Child Ambassadors Council were interested in the British experience in this area, they asked the guest their questions .
