An online training on "Gender and early marriages"

On July 2, 2020, online training on "Gender and Early Marriage" was conducted within the framework of the project “Economic and Social Development of Internally Displaced Persons and Low-Income Population in the South Caucasus” (EPIC) of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) together with the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs.


The training is one of five trainings held during the “Gender webinar week” from June 30 to July 6 as part of the EPIC project "Improvement of living conditions and empowerment of poor members of IDPs, especially youth and women".


Chief Adviser of the Department of Women and Gender Issues of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, AytakinHajiyeva provided information on gender issues, early marriages, their causes and preventive measures. She also noted that the participation of community members is important to combat such negative situations.
About 30 participants (women,men and youth) from Mingachevir, Ganja, Agdam and Barda regions took part at this training.
